Darlynne Reyes is the news director and main anchor at KDCI
News, Adelphia Cable Communications in Carlsbad, where she
oversees a staff of 15 people.
Since joining KDCI full-time in
1998, Darlynne has helped launch a 30-minute news show as well
as a local entertainment segment. In addition to running KDCI,
Darlynne also is a freelance reporter for KSWB in San Diego and has landed a number of acting roles in several
television series and movies. She previously worked as reporter
for KTNV in Las
Vegas and a senior
consumer producer for KFMB Channel 8, the CBS affiliate in San
Diego.
She is a 1985 graduate of the
University of Pittsburgh, where she received her broadcast
journalism degree. In 2000, she participated in Asian American
Journalists Association (AAJA's) Executive
Leadership Program in San Diego.
In her spare time, Darlynne
enjoys biking, hiking and spending time at the beach with her
husband, Marc Menkin.
Darlynne is looking forward to
co-chairing the Asian American Journalist's Association's (AAJA)
National convention in 2003. The convention will be held at the
Sheraton Harbor Island Hotel in San Diego. Click here
