–
TravelTalkMEDIA announced today
that Sandy Dhuyvetter, Executive
Producer and Host of
TravelTalkMEDIA, RADIO and TV,
has been named the National
Business Travel Association’s
International Correspondent for
the NBTA International
Convention & Exposition, to be
held in Los Angeles at the end
of this month.
The NBTA International
Convention and Exposition,
widely known as the premier
event in business travel, will
be held at Los Angeles
Convention Center July 27-30,
2008.
As the International
Correspondent for NBTA TV, Ms.
Dhuyvetter is responsible for
highlighting
the
International participants at
the convention and building
programming that will inspire
the
International
communities to research further
NBTA’s offerings.
“We are
thrilled to be partnering with
Sandy and her great team at
TravelTalkMEDIA at this year’s
Convention
and beyond. Their expertise and
reach will be a big asset in our
efforts to further
build our
brand globally,” said Eric
Casey, NBTA Senior Director of
Marcom and Membership.
“I am honored to be named the
NBTA International Correspondent
for this year’s NBTA
International Convention &
Exposition,” Dhuyvetter said.
“The support we have been given
by the NBTA in the past years as
we brought Bill Connors and his
team to our world-wide listeners
has been phenomenal.”
Earlier this month,
TravelTalkMEDIA agreed to
produce a new NBTA RADIO branded
program. Ms. Dhuyvetter and the
TravelTalkMEDIA Team will
produce a half hour NBTA
RADIO segment beginning July
27, to be broadcast during
the regular TravelTalkRADIO programming on
Sundays from noon to 2 p.m. EST.
The TravelTalkMEDIA Team
will broadcast live from the
NBTA event in Los Angeles during
the convention and will also
produce additional NBTA
programming for future use on
NBTA RADIO and TV.
Dhuyvetter
said, “The NBTA has been
successfully building its brand
in Canada, UK, Europe,
Australia, New Zealand,
Southeast Asia region and Mexico
and we feel it’s a perfect time
to combine good brands like the
NBTA and the expertise
and international reach of the
TravelTalkMEDIA team. Our hats
are off to the NBTA – they are
leading the way as they bring
rich media to the annual
convention this year.
“NBTA RADIO and NBTA TV will
give listeners and viewers
another opportunity to connect
with the business travel
experts of the show. We see this
trend in radio and TV as we
archive programming. Now we are
seeing
more organizations ‘capturing
and archiving’ the rich
educational sessions and
powerfully informative
speakers at their conventions
and conferences,” Dhuyvetter
added. "This makes the event so
much more accessible than just
letting all that invaluable
content just go out into the
ether when the expo is over."
According to Patrick Peartree,
TravelTalkMEDIA’s Vice
President, the “NBTA
is truly a visionary
organization and is wrapping its
arms firmly around the strategic
use of new media in launching
NBTA RADIO and NBTA TV and,
naming Sandy as
its international correspondent
is nothing short of brilliant."
Mr. Peartree added, "Sandy has
been at the forefront of the
move to rich media -
aka Web 2.0 -since founding
TravelTalkRADIO in August 2001.
Her long standing global
reputation as a travel expert,
together with her deep
understanding of the Internet
since it first became available
for commercial use in 1993, have
given TravelTalkMEDIA, and now
NBTA, a distinct advantage.
Sandy understands how the
convergence of media works. She
has successfully brought all the
traditional media forms of
print, radio and TV to the Web
at TravelTalkMEDIA.com.”
About the future, Peartree says,
“With the launch of NBTA Radio,
the messages of this fine
organization and its members
will be readily available
24x7x365 worldwide for
education, personnel development
and member improvement
and motivation. You can also
clearly see the marketing and
promotional opportunities that
NBTA RADIO and TV will afford .
This is how the global business
travel community will work
and share knowledge in the 21st
century and this is the beauty
of New Media. Accessible on
demand and ubiquitous. We are
delighted with this announcement
and look forward to NBTA RADIO
and TV becoming the voice of
international business travel.”
